A miniature windmill built by the Boothe brothers in the former circular drive in front of the Clocktower.
A Lighted Landmark in the Garden Circle
The Boothe brothers designed and built the Miniature Windmill when they decided the property needed another unusual landmark. It stands in a circle that had once been part of the drive in front of the Clocktower, where a large cast iron fountain originally stood. To make sure the windmill was no ordinary garden feature, David and Stephen fitted the sail blades with 700 colored Christmas tree lights. On special occasions, the lights could create a moving wave of color across the landmark. The fountain from the original circle was later restored by the Friends of Boothe Park and placed in the Rose Garden.

Preserving the Windmill
Preserving landmarks like the Windmill helps keep Boothe Park’s character visible from path to path. The Friends of Boothe Park work with volunteers, members, and donors to care for the structures, gardens, collections, and stories throughout the grounds.
